The Single Mom Project provides $1000 grants to low-income, hard-working mothers in the Los Angeles area to help them get on steadier financial footing.
Single Mom Project honorees are clients of the Richstone Family Center in Hawthorne, California, which for over 50 years has provided services (therapy, afterschool programs, parenting classes, etc.) to families impacted by domestic abuse.
Richstone monitors how the grants are used by each honoree. Launched in 2020, the Single Mom Project T has already given out 150+ grants to change lives for the better. Yes, it works!
“We are deeply grateful for our generous partner, Richstone Family Center, whose unwavering support helps us create lasting change and opportunities for single moms in the South Bay."

“It was a big surprise for me and my kids. We don’t have food or water, and sometimes they have no food in their stomachs. You helped me a lot. I feel happy. I don’t feel stressed.”

“I feel very fortunate that someone has the heart to help out. I’m always tight on money. Rent, bills, food is always something on my mind. So, the money eased my mind.”
